Hell’s Kitchen: My Ugly Addiction

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

After watching last week’s episode, I was angry. Not at the show, or my husband, or at anything tangible. I was just angry, and then I realized the show totally stressed me out!

I vowed never to tune into Chef Ramsay again, but alas, this week, the TV was back on the same old station at the same old time. Grrr. It doesn’t help that my colleague conducts weekly interviews with the eliminated contestant the morning following the show…

So it was Rosann last night. Here at the office, we’re convinced Matt is only staying on for dramatic purposes, and probably Jen to some extent as well. I’m just waiting for that final blowout between Jen and Ramsay - now that would make for good TV, wouldn’t it?

I have to say, telling Rosann to step back in line and then kicking her off the show was a feeble attempt at providing some new drama on the elimination line. Oooh - what is Chef Ramsay going to do next?

Here’s what Rosann had to say about “getting the rug pulled out” from under her feet: Post-elimination interview with Rosann

Grady delivers a kick in the pants so hard that it will leave your ears ringin’ while you’re begging for more. “Who breaks out the double guitar like that these days?” Gordie Johnson does my friend, but bassist Big Ben Richardson’s not about to let Mr. Johnson have all the fun. Here, Big Ben tells us why Michael BublĂ© can have his cake, so long as Mr. Big gets to stomp his foot and make it count, large and loud.

Poker and the Palms: Six weeks in Vegas

The Palms in Las Vegas is one of the hottest party hotels for the twenty-something crowd. The pool is always swarming with sun-bronzed specimens, carefully stretched out on wicker couches and lawn chairs, lined up like cars in a parking lot. The corridors are usually bustling with muscles freshly pumped from the $20-a-pop gym, while Fergie, Akon and the Killers blare on the loudspeakers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
